About this tool

Finding every email address or link in a long text by hand is slow. This extractor scans the text locally and lists everything it finds, one item per line, ready to paste into a spreadsheet or another tool.

Links are recognised when they start with http://, https:// or www., and punctuation that follows a link in a sentence is left out. Domain-only mode turns a list of addresses or links into a list of the sites they belong to, which is handy for checking where your links point.

Frequently asked questions

Will it find every email address?

It finds standard addresses such as name@example.com. Very unusual formats, such as addresses with quoted parts or internationalised local parts, may be missed, so check important lists.

Does it find links without http or www?

Not at the moment. A bare name such as example.com is not treated as a link because ordinary text, such as file names, can look the same.

Is my text sent anywhere?

No. Extraction runs in your browser and nothing is uploaded.
