Privacy Policy

The short version

The tools on TextKit run entirely in your browser. The text you enter is processed on your device and is not uploaded to us.

Text you enter

Text you type, paste or open from a file stays in your browser tab. We do not receive it, store it or log it. When you close or refresh the page, it is gone.

What is stored on your device

If you switch between light and dark mode, TextKit saves that choice in your browser’s local storage under the name “tk-theme”. It contains only the word “light” or “dark”. TextKit does not set cookies at this time.

Server logs

TextKit is delivered through Cloudflare. Like most websites, the hosting service may record basic technical information about page requests, such as IP address, browser type and the page requested, for security and operation of the service.

Analytics and advertising

TextKit does not currently show advertising. In the future the site may display ads from third parties such as Google AdSense. Those providers can use cookies or similar technologies to show and measure ads, and they are governed by their own privacy policies, not this one. If that happens we will update this page before ads start, explain what is collected, and add a way to manage your consent. You can already manage Google’s ad personalisation at adssettings.google.com.

We may also add privacy-friendly analytics, such as Cloudflare Web Analytics, to see which pages are used. Your text is never part of this data.

Donations

Donations are made directly to public cryptocurrency addresses. We do not collect your name, email or any other personal data through the donation page. Blockchain transactions are public by nature.

TextKit is a general-purpose utility and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes

We may update this policy as the site grows. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
